Ego played a large part in my earlier work: my low self-esteem had a strong need to impress.Painting was a place where I could lose myself and be safe from external problems. When I completed a painting, I had a strong emotional hold on the art.

When I completed this painting, it felt very different.I was still energetically linked to the work, but also had the sense of just moving through and past the physical art.
When I did karate many years ago, I learnt not to focus the strike on the foe in front of me, but through and past the adversary to an unseen target beyond.

In a similar way, this work moves beyond a physical presence and touches the sacred beyond.


It was a pleasure meeting up with Ariana at my exhibition Diverse Directions in the summer of 2012in Glastonbury. Ariana Heartsong works with the Angelic Realms and Ascended Masters to channel divine voice and visionary art for one-to-one healing and transformation. Here she discusses my painting Transition- Opening To The Beloved  with me.
